Here’s a chance to work closely with a team of startup growth coaches as a social media manager who can help us syndicate our content (these weekly emails and videos and expand our reach.
We’re looking for a good storyteller with an eye for how to package up longer form content into pithy engaging social media posts (Mainly LinkedIn + Twitter, bit of YouTube). This is a part-time remote contract role, approximately 5-10 hours/week, remote, and we’re committed to fair pay.
Why this gig is awesome:
You’ll get a chance to work side-by-side with our founders and coaches, some of the best most experienced startup marketers around.
You’ll be able to participate in our Coaching Programme and get an inside view of how we work with companies, so you can become an expert in other areas of startup growth.
You’ll be part of our content creation process where we observe data, patterns and learnings from our work day-to-day and turning those observations into pithy emails, blogs and social media posts.
Network - You’ll plug into our community of alumni, who are often hiring contractors and full-time, if you’re looking to work with other smart interesting people
The ideal candidate will:
Enjoy writing quirky and engaging short-form content, including subject lines, titles and tweets
Intuitively separate magic content from dross, and not hesitate to share those opinions
Be comfortable with data, able to digest, interpret and apply results from previous campaigns
(Maybe) enjoy turning ideas into simple diagrams
Enjoy learning about the latest thinking in tech / startup growth, refining and sharing the latest thinking in our field, so you can not only syndicate our content, but research and develop your own ideas as well
Be curious (almost to a fault), unapologetic growth mindset, open to trying new things, making mistakes and learning
Our Weird Application Process We’re committed to making our application process fair and equal, so the first round of the process will be “blind” scored, to reduce the chance of unconscious bias. Rather than a traditional application form, you will be asked to answer 3 questions to establish your fit for the role. We will ask for your name, LinkedIn and contact details, but the person who scores your application will not see those details. (Thanks to Rachel Carrell at Koru Kids for inventing and sharing this blind hiring process. You can read more about it here in Rachel’s Twitter post).
