I Always Start Clients Here

If you found analytics software like HotJar, but it could actually read your visitors' minds (not just their mouse trails), how much would you pay for it?

Good news… 1. It exists 2. You prob. already have it and 3. It’s free!

Why do 95% of your visitors leave without buying or signing up? You stare at your analytics and speculate. You look at your heat maps and guess. But you don't really know.

What if I told you there’s a simple way to find out, and you’re already 90% of the way there?

Does your site have one of these?

Most sites have a chat window (Intercom, Hubspot, Olark, etc.) where they ask visitors “Can I help you?” or “Have any questions?” But visitors ignore them because you’re asking the wrong question.

First, set the window to auto-open after 5 seconds. Next, ask your visitors “Did you find what you were looking for?” (I love that question, because whether they say “yes” or “no” it leads to a useful conversation...) “Aha. What were you looking for?” And the answer to that question… is the info you really need! What your visitors are hoping to learn or do. But that’s not even the coolest part…

After each chat session, write down the answers you get, and start a tally of the most frequent ones. After about 20 of these conversations, you’ll know exactly why people are leaving your site! (Thanks to Mo Syed for this great tip!)
